Kanu broke the hearts of his former club West Brom by scoring the only goal of the game for Portsmouth in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Kanu, an Albion player between July 2004 and August 2006 before leaving the club to join Pompey, struck the decisive blow in the 54th minute.

West Brom had started the match the better of the two sides and were denied a late equaliser when Ishmael Miller shot just wide.
