England goalkeeper David James has extended his current deal with Portsmouth until the end of the 2009/10 season.
The 37-year-old has enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career this term, helping Pompey to a place in the last four of the FA Cup. His form between the posts has also helped Harry Redknapp´s side establish themselves in the top half of the Barclays Premier League.
The veteran stopper told PfcTV: "It´s been a tremendous week and I´m delighted to get the opportunity to sign a new contract."
