Alexander is new Silkmen boss

Macclesfield have appointed Keith Alexander as their new manager after parting company with Ian Brightwell.

Brightwell, and assistant boss Asa Harford, have left the struggling League Two club after a run of five straight league defeats and Alexander will take charge until the end of the season.

Club chairman Mike Rance told the club´s official website: "It is no secret that results of late haven´t been what we have wanted."
