Leeds have not given up hope of overturning the 15-point deduction imposed by the Football League - and have urged the High Court to rule on their appeal before the end of the current season.

The League One club served a writ on the Football League last week in a bid to get their points penalty for breaking competition rules on administration overturned.

Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey confirmed: "We have now issued proceedings in the High Court against the Football League, asking the court whether their decision was in accordance with their own regulations."
