Shot-shy Chelsea squandered the chance to increase the pressure on Arsenal and Manchester United with a goalless draw against Liverpool in Saturday´s Barclays Premier League contest at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea dominated the second half but the closest they came to breaking the deadlock was a volley from Michael Ballack 10 minutes from time.

Liverpool had controlled the opening 45 minutes and Peter Crouch wasted three headed chances to open the scoring.
