Jeremie Aliadiere´s 11th-minute strike grabbed a 1-0 win for Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium and plunged Roy Hodgson´s Fulham deeper into the relegation mire.
Aliadiere timed his run down the right flank to perfection to get on the end of Gary O´Neil´s through-ball and shoot low under Antti Niemi to put his side in front.
Fulham had their moments with Danny Murphy and Paul Konchesky coming close to grabbing an equaliser, but the home side did enough to hold out for three precious points.
