Centre-back Phil Jagielka put in an outstanding defensive display for Everton and scored his first Barclays Premier League goal for the Toffees in the 1-0 victory over Reading.
Jagielka headed home after 62 minutes as Reading failed to defend a corner properly.
But it took some excellent interceptions and tackles from the former Sheffield United defender to protect Everton´s lead as Reading tried to salvage something from the game.
