Bristol Rovers put further daylight between themselves and the Coca-Cola League One relegation zone on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win in their west country derby with Cheltenham.

Goals in either half from Craig Hinton and Rickie Lambert sealed the victory, although Steven Gillespie missed a late penalty for the visitors.

The result lifted Rovers seven points clear of danger while leaving the visitors hovering perilously above the bottom four.
