Former Republic of Ireland boss Steve Staunton has returned to management after accepting an offer to become Gary McAllister´s assistant at Leeds.

McAllister, who only replaced Dennis Wise at Elland Road six days ago, has brought in Staunton initially until the end of the season.

The pair are reunited again as, having been players together at Liverpool, McAllister also signed his former team-mate when he was manager at Coventry earlier this decade.
