Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has dismissed speculation that he made a request to leave White Hart Lane during the January transfer window.

Spurs boss Juande Ramos selected Czech Republic goalkeeper Radek Cerny instead of Robinson for the last four games which prompted rumours that the 28-year-old had sought a move away. But Robinson confirmed he understood the reasons for his exclusion and is determined to stay and fight for his place in the side.

"The manager is paid to make decisions and as a footballer you are paid to accept them," Robinson told Sky Sports News.
