Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has rejected suggestions a deal has already been done with Arsenal for 15-year-old Luke Freeman, but accepts the youngster looks set to join the Gunners.

Last week, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed he expected the move to be "pushed through" but Gills boss Stimson insists nothing has been finalised and maintains the reported figures of around £500,000 were well wide of the mark.

Stimson told the Kent Messenger: "He is still a Gillingham player. Luke is in the process of maybe going across to Arsenal. At the moment the chairman and someone from Arsenal are sorting the details out."
