Walcott strike denies Spurs

Published Add your comment

Theo Walcott´s fortuitous late equaliser denied Tottenham their first victory over Arsenal since 1999, leaving the Carling Cup semi-final balanced on a knife edge at 1-1.

Jermaine Jenas had given Spurs the lead in the first-leg clash at the Emirates Stadium against Arsene Wenger´s young side, with Walcott levelling with 11 minutes remaining.

The equaliser came off Walcott´s stomach after he was blocked by Lee Young-Pyo, maintaining Arsenal´s unbeaten record at home this season.
