Manchester United climbed back to the top of the Barclays Premier League table for a few hours at least after a 4-0 win as Roy Keane´s Sunderland felt the full force of their title charge.

Goals from Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha and the superb Cristiano Ronaldo before the break wrapped up the points in clinical fashion on an afternoon when Sir Alex Ferguson´s men could have won by many more goals.

However, they had to wait until the 86th-minute for their fourth goal when Saha converted from the penalty spot after Nani had been tripped by Danny Collins.
