Outgoing Coventry chairman Joe Elliott believes new owner Ray Ranson has what it takes to get the Sky Blues promoted to the Barclays Premier League.

Coventry are set to avoid administration after Ranson´s SISU Capital consortium completed their protracted takeover at the Ricoh Arena on Friday.

"Ray brings a lot of professional business skills with him," Elliott told the club´s website, ccfc.co.uk. "He has the desire to own a football club and I think he will bring the skills the football club needs to get back into the Premier League."
