Portsmouth missed a string of first-half chances at Fratton Park but they stretched their unbeaten league run to 10 matches with a 0-0 draw against Everton.

Papa Bouba Diop failed to connect with a header in front of an empty goal while Niko Kranjcar, Sulley Muntari, Benjani and substitute Kanu all failed to convert plausible opportunities.

Everton´s only real opening was ruined by Leon Osman´s dismal first touch midway through the second half - although David Moyes´ team are still unbeaten in eight games.
