Robbie Savage will complete his amazing recovery from a serious knee injury by lining up at Fulham on Sunday but the Blackburn midfielder admitted he initially feared the worst.

Savage was taken off during the dramatic win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane at the end of last month and was expected to face a long spell on the sidelines after being operated on less than three weeks ago.

He said: "When I got the injury at Spurs I was back to my best and when I went off I thought it would be six to eight weeks. But it´s only been two and a half and already I´m back to my physical peak."
