Agbonlahor eyes new goals high

Published Add your comment

Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is confident he can surpass last season´s 10-goal return - thanks to the creativity of players like Ashley Young.

Agbonlahor was the toast of Villa after scoring his fifth goal of the current campaign to seal the Second City derby for Martin O´Neill´s side a fortnight ago.

Now the England Under-21 player, who was under consideration for promotion to the senior squad after Michael Owen suffered a thigh strain, believes he can more than double that tally, saying: "I got 10 goals last season, even though I played in a wide right role for quite a lot of the time, and I am confident I can beat that tally."
