Wise looks on bright side

Published Add your comment

Leeds boss Dennis Wise hopes his side´s shock FA Cup exit at the hands of non-League Hereford on Tuesday night proves a "blessing in disguise".

The West Yorkshire outfit, who struggled to take a grip on the first-round replay and were second best for long periods, have not won in the competition since February 2003.

But Wise admits the defeat will allow his side to focus on their attempts to win promotion back the Coca-Cola Championship, saying: "We´ve performed well in the league but not in the cups this season and we are out of all them now. I didn´t want to go out but it might prove a blessing in disguise because promotion is our main priority this season."
