Elliott strike keeps pressure on

Published Add your comment

Bristol City maintained the pressure on Coca-Cola Championship leaders Watford with a narrow 1-0 victory over Stoke at Ashton Gate.

The Potters are holding their own hopes of promotion this season and, as expected, put up an admirable fight.

But one move was enough to kill off Tony Pulis´ side, with Ivan Sproule breaking down the right before cutting the ball into Marvin Elliott who drove the ball home from 25 yards with a fine left-footed strike after 35 minutes.
