Portsmouth missed the opportunity to climb into the Premier League´s top four as Robert Green earned West Ham a point from their goalless draw with a stoppage-time penalty save to deprive Premier League top-scorer Benjani Mwaruwari a sixth goal in four games.

Danny Gabbidon was ruled to have handled in the area by referee Mike Dean but Green dived to his right to make the save after Pompey players argued over who should take the spotkick.

But it could have been a lot worse for Pompey who were seeking their fifth straight league win as Nolberto Solano missed two golden chances to win it for the Hammers.
