Alnwick makes Spurs return

Published Add your comment

Tottenham have recalled goalkeeper Ben Alnwick from his loan spell at Coca-Cola League One side Luton.

Manager Martin Jol has decided to cut short Alnwick´s spell at Kenilworth Road because of the calf injury suffered by England stopper Paul Robinson which has left Radek Cerny as his only fit goalkeeper.

The 20-year-old had been set to stay with the Hatters until December, but he has now returned to White Hart Lane and could be on the bench for Thursday´s UEFA Cup tie with Getafe.
