Martin Laursen hopes Martin O´Neill will remain at Aston Villa amid speculation he is one of the front-runners to replace Steve McClaren if the England coach is sacked.

O´Neill believes it is "unfair" to link him with McClaren´s job and is confident England will still qualify for Euro 2008.

The Denmark defender said: "I hope Martin O´Neill will stay at Villa. He has got time later on to manage England."
