Orient claim point after Kandol miss

Published Add your comment

Second-placed Leyton Orient were relieved to leave Elland Road with a 1-1 draw after Tresor Kandol missed a late penalty for Leeds in their Coca-Cola League One clash.

Sean Thornton gave Orient the lead inside 10 minutes but was sent off for violent conduct in the 32nd minute.

Leeds drove forward in search of an equaliser and it was provided by Seb Carole 10 minutes into the second half. Dennis Wise´s side could have taken all three points when Paul Terry fouled Carole in the 81st minute but Kandol blasted over the bar.
