Tranmere miss chance

League One leaders Tranmere were unable to steal a march on their rivals as they were held to a goalless draw at home to Walsall.

Rovers hold an edge over second-placed Leyton Orient thanks to goal difference but with most of the division playing on Saturday, Ronnie Moore´s side were unable to take three points to secure their position.

Elsewhere in League One Bristol Rovers suffered their first away defeat since March 10, losing 1-0 at Hartlepool.
