Rovers march on

Published Add your comment

Blackburn swiftly erased the heartache of their surprise UEFA Cup exit with a fourth successive victory.

In-form David Bentley scored his third goal in four matches to set Rovers on their way, before Benni McCarthy converted a 55th-minute penalty.

Cameron Jerome offered Blues hope midway through the second period but, in contrast to Rovers, it is now four games without a win for Steve Bruce´s side.
