Newcastle midfielder James Milner is backing the comforts of home to help his side return to winning ways against Everton on Sunday.

The Magpies´ unbeaten start to the season went up in smoke inside five days last week when they were dumped out of the Carling Cup at Arsenal and then made to pay for defensive frailty in a 3-1 Barclays Premier League defeat at Manchester City.

But Milner said: "Hopefully, we can make it a fortress at St James´ Park again and we have to take that into the Everton game. The away form is a concern and we need to turn it around, but we want to get a good result against Everton."
