Rafael Benitez admitted his deep frustration after seeing Liverpool held to a goalless draw by a battling Birmingham side at Anfield.

The Reds may well still be unbeaten but they have now drawn their last three games, including the midweek Champions League clash in Porto.

"The game was very frustrating. We tried to play wide, we tried to get the ball into the box - we did everything we could to break them down," said Benitez. "In the end we ran out of ideas. The game was too narrow, it was too congested in the box and there was no space."
