Allardyce fearing shortages

Published Add your comment

Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce is worried he could be short of numbers as he tries to pick up the pieces of his side´s first defeat of the season.

Allardyce´s men lost 1-0 to Derby at Pride Park on Monday night, with Rams debutant Kenny Miller firing home a stunning long-range effort to give the hosts all three points.

Michael Owen was replaced early in the second half after complaining of a minor groin niggle and the Magpies boss said: ""We have a very difficult week ahead of us and I just hope we have enough men to cope."
