Wenger due to pen Gunners deal

Arsenal are expected to announce on Friday that manager Arsene Wenger has committed himself to the club on a new, long-term contract.

Wenger, 57, would have seen his current deal expire at the end of the season, and is understood to have agreed an extension for three years, worth around £4million a season to the highly-respected French coach.

The imminent announcement will bring to an end the speculation linking Wenger with a move away from the club at which he has made such a marked impact over the past decade, securing three Premier League titles and four FA Cup triumphs as well as European Cup runners-up in 2006.
