Emmanuel Adebayor, Cesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky were on target as 10-man Arsenal crushed Portsmouth 3-1 at the Emirates.

The only cloud hanging over scintillating display was the 50th-minute dismissal of Philippe Senderos, who was shown a straight red for bringing down Kanu.

Kanu pulled one back against his former club while England keeper David James gifted Arsenal the first by conceding a clear penalty for a challenge on Robin van Persie which Adebayor rifled home.
