Derby manager Billy Davies has ended his search for "a proven goalscorer" after completing the deadline-day signing of Scotland striker Kenny Miller for an undisclosed fee.

Miller, 27, has signed a three-year contract with the Rams just a year after joining Celtic on a free transfer from Wolves.

He was edged out of Gordon Strachan´s plans by the summer signings of Scott McDonald and Chris Killen, while the likes of Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Maciej Zurawski and Derek Riordan are also vying for places up front.
