Goals from Gary Speed, Nicolas Anelka and substitute Daniel Braaten helped Bolton secure a 3-0 win over Reading - their first success under manager Sammy Lee.

Veteran midfielder Speed made the breakthrough with a firm header in the 31st minute to ease their nerves.

Anelka extended Bolton´s lead in the 55th minute with his third goal in four games, and Braaten scored in stoppage time.
