Hughes thanks backroom boys

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has paid tribute to two of his backroom staff as Benni McCarthy recovers from concussion.

The striker is ruled out of the UEFA Cup match against MyPa on Thursday in Finland after collapsing on the pitch - following an aerial collision - during the victory against Middlesbrough on Saturday, but such was the level of care afforded to him at the time he was able to return home with the squad.

Hughes said: "I have huge confidence in our medical department."
