Anderlecht have informed suitors of Lucas Biglia, with Liverpool reported to be among them, that the Argentine defender will not leave for 'a penny less' than €10.25 million.
Anderlecht have confirmed they have not received a bid from Liverpool or anyone else for Biglia, but have outlined very clearly what fee would be required for them to consider selling the 26-year-old.
"We have not formally received an offer for Lucas but we know that his agent is making moves in the transfer market," Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck told calciomercato.com.
"Biglia has two and a half years left on his contract and we would only consider letting him go if we receive an offer of €10.25m. He won't leave in January for a penny less."
Whether or not Liverpool decide to make a formal approach for Biglia remains to be seen, but the Reds already appear to be making a concerted effort to reinforce their squad in the January transfer window.
The Times reports that Liverpool have agreed fees for the signings of Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool winger Thomas Ince, with both players expected to move to Anfield at the start of next month.
