Wenger draws hope from Gunners comeback

Published Add your comment

Manager Arsene Wenger feels there is renewed hope for Arsenal´s campaign ahead after his side came from behind to snatch a dramatic 2-1 first-day victory at home to Fulham.

The Gunners head to the Czech Republic for a crucial Champions League qualifier against Sparta Prague this week buoyed by their performance.

"The players were giving everything to win. As long as you have that in a team, you have hope," said the Arsenal manager, who rates summer signing Eduardo da Silva as 50-50 for Wednesday´s game in Prague. "Nobody could ever measure it in terms of psychology, but it is important."
