Kilmarnock defender Rory McKeown is at the centre of a diving storm in Scotland after his outrageous effort to win a penalty in the clash against Heart yesterday (Wednesday).

Ironically, it was a penalty that won the game for Killie, with Liam Kelly making no mistake from the spot to secure a 1-0 win in the SPL clash.

However, it was the ‘simulation’ from McKeown which really caught the eye in the Rugby Park clash, with the Northern Irish full-back going to ground without anything close to contact.

The SPL’s official YouTube channel has gone on to describe it as one of the worst dives in the history of the league, but GiveMeFootball thinks it might be one of the most embarrassing flops in history.

Unbelievably, referee Steve McLean failed to give a free-kick against the player, or even award a yellow card when the ball eventually went out of play as Kilmarnock continued to attack.

Watch the video at the top of the story and let us know what you think – is it the worst dive in 2012?
