Arsene Wenger says he has yet to discuss a potential return to Arsenal with Thierry Henry during the January transfer window, but admits to have not 'completely ruled it out'.

Henry is currently training with Arsenal during the Major League Soccer off-season, and has been linked with a second loan spell with Arsenal in successive campaigns.

The Gunners legend returned to the club in January of this year, scoring a dramatic late winner on his second Arsenal debut, before returning to New York Red Bulls in February.

With Arsenal seemingly in need of goalscoring reinforcements, it has led to inevitable speculation that Wenger will once again bring Henry back to the Emirates Stadium on a short-term deal.

But, says the Wenger, nothing has been discussed with the 35-year-old striker, although the Arsenal manager would consider another approach for the club's leading goalscorer.

"I've not lost interest in him. He's still coming to practise with us," Wenger told a press conference on Friday.

"Our relationship is very close but, at the moment, I think he has had a second spell at the club that was very successful. You have to be cautious that it's not one time too many.

"I have not completely ruled it out but I haven't spoken about it with him at all."

Henry score 226 goals in 369 appearances during his first stint with Arsenal, and added a further two to his tally during last season's seven game loan spell.
