Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani has revealed it is his dream to play in the Premier League amid ongoing speculation linking him with both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

Sky Sports reports how several top-flight clubs in England have been monitoring the Congolese international, with a view to making a bid in the January transfer window.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is known to be in the market for attacking additions at Anfield in the New Year, with Luis Suarez currently Liverpool's only fit and recognised first-team striker.

Meanwhile, Spurs are also keeping tabs of Mbokani's situation. With Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor the only options that Andre Villas-Boas has at White Hart Lane at the moment, he too could re-enter the market for another forward next month.

Despite intense media speculation, the 27-year-old insists he is happy in Belgium at Anderlecht, but admits he could be tempted by an offer to test himself in the Premier League.

"I want to stay but you never know," Mbokani told Het Laatste Nieuws. "Anderlecht could receive an offer they can't refuse, so they have to accept.

"My dream is to play in the Premier League. Clubs from there are my first choice. But my ambition is just to go to a top league - even Russia, but not France."

Mbokani is also thought to be on the radar of Juventus, but any potential interest from Ligue 1 is unwanted, after the player's ill-fated stint at AS Monaco two years ago.
