Derby manager Billy Davies admits he is "not anywhere near" having the squad he wants for this season´s Barclays Premier League campaign.
Davies feels the Rams are weeks behind their rivals due to winning promotion via the play-offs, and also revealed he is not surprised star player Giles Barnes is attracting attention from other clubs.
"I don´t think we´ll be ready until the end of August and we´re not anywhere near the squad we want to have, but that´s what happens when you are weeks behind everyone else," Davies said.
