Manchester United could sale Nani to finance a double January transfer swoop for Porto star James Rodriguez and Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Portuguese winger has been linked with an Old Trafford exit, while Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be a huge admirer of both Rodriguez and Wanyama.

Nani has been locked in contract negotiation talks with United, but little progress has been made, and the report claims both Juventus and Arsenal are interested in signing the former-Sporting winger for £20m. Nani has not started a league game since November and his United deal expires in 2014.

Martin Ferguson, Manchester United's chief European scout, watched Wanyama play for the Scottish giants against Barcelona last month. The Kenyan international excelled in both matches against Tito Vilanova's side, and the Daily Mirror reports Arsenal and Tottenham are also tracking the centre-midfielder.

Porto winger James Rodriguez has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months, with speculation mounting that Nani could be used as part of a deal to bring Rodriguez to Manchester United. The young winger has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, and has shone in the Champions League for his Portuguese club this season.
