Robson: Beattie not a certain starter

Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson has warned James Beattie not to expect to walk into the starting line-up.

Robson persuaded the former England striker to join the Blades from Everton earlier this week, but insisted Beattie would have to fight for his place.

Robson told the club´s official website: "Every manager in the Championship would love to have James Beattie in their squad, and I am delighted to have him. He has to work hard and perform to get into the team, because nobody goes straight into my team, as everyone has an even chance."
