Norwich manager Peter Grant has insisted two-time player of the year Darren Huckerby "won´t be going anywhere".

The 31-year-old winger recently voiced his frustration over the departures of Robert Earnshaw and Dickson Etuhu this summer and returned early from the club´s pre-season tour of Holland. That led to speculation he could leave Carrow Road but it has been revealed Huckerby is suffering from "a low grade groin strain".

Grant told the Eastern Daily Press: "If he was going to leave Norwich he would have left last season - there have always been plenty of clubs interested in him. That is why I gave him a new contract."
