Jose Mourinho has admitted he is happy to step out of the spotlight after Manchester United´s mammoth summer outlay.

Chelsea have taken a cautious approach to the transfer market this close season after only signing France winger Florent Malouda, while United have spent lavishly on the likes of Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson, with Carlos Tevez set to follow.

He said: "Manchester United´s spending is something that we don´t control, we don´t want to control -- we don´t comment, we don´t want to comment."
