Geremi fits bill for Allardyce

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce is confident he has landed a genuine winner, after Geremi completed his move to St James´ Park on a three-year contract.

Allardyce is convinced the hugely-experienced player, who boasts an Olympic gold medal among his collection of honours from a career which saw Champions League success at Real Madrid and Barclays Premier League glory at Stamford Bridge, can bring a winning mentality with him to Tyneside.

He told his club´s official website: "We have signed a player who is a real winner and who has played on the biggest stages for both his clubs and his country."
