Birmingham have signed Brazilian-born defender Rafael Schmitz on a season-long loan from French club Lille.
The 26-year-old becomes the Blues´ seventh summer signing after passing a medical on Friday.
Schmitz was granted dual nationality by the in May but will not be eligible to play for City until he receives his French passport.
