Bluebirds open McPhail talks

Published Add your comment

Cardiff have opened talks with midfielder Stephen McPhail about extending his current contract, which still has two years to run.

The former Leeds United and Barnsley ace joined the Bluebirds from the Tykes on June, 2006 and has since become an integral part of manager Dave Jones´ side.

"The talks are going well and Stephen (McPhail) is certainly keen to stay," said Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale, who held similar positions with Leeds and Barnsley while the player was also at the Yorkshire clubs.
