Scarborough went out of business on Wednesday after a long struggle with financial problems.
The club were wound up on Wednesday morning at the High Court in Leeds.
Boro´s website announced "that discussions are ongoing between two interested parties - former chairman Ian Scobbie and fans´ organisation The Seadog Trust".
