Fabianski wants to be number one

Poland goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has no intentions of being anything other than number one at Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has joined the Gunners from Legia Warsaw, and is set to compete with both veteran German Jens Lehmann and Spaniard Manuel Almunia at Emirates Stadium.

"Lehmann and Almunia are very good - but I am not afraid of anyone," Fabianski told BBC Sport. "I am confident of my skills. I want to be first choice at Arsenal as much as they do. My message is clear - I am ready to fight from day one."
