Norwich have failed with a bid to sign Celtic goalkeeper David Marshall on a permanent deal, according to the player´s agent.

Celtic recruited Mark Brown from Inverness in January as cover for number one Artur Boruc but Marshall´s agent Willie McKay believes his future lies with the Scottish champions.

He told BBC Sport: "He has a year of his contract still to run and Celtic are ready to offer him a new deal."
