Nolberto Solano´s two-year exile from Peru´s national side is set to end after the Copa America, coach Julio Cesar Uribe has confirmed.

The Newcastle utility man, who has not played for his country since June 2005, has been frequent and scathing in his criticism of the Peruvian Football Federation and last month he demanded their president, Manuel Burga, resign from his post, while he has repeatedly slammed Uribe and his predecessor Freddy Ternern.

Now, however, Uribe has said: "I´m going to talk with him next week. It is the right moment to do it and give him some peace. Solano´s determination to be in the squad is remarkable. I´m going to call him for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, as I´ve already decided the 22-man list ahead the Copa America."
